A music broadcaster uses censor bar techniques and pixelation to boost the Twitch nudity trend

<p>There’s a new thing going on on Twitch where some broadcasters are making it seem like they’re nude on camera by using different tricks. One of them, a music streamer going by the handle “lara6683,” has escalated this tendency by completely pixelating her body while doing a live piano performance.</p>

<p>Twitch modified its policies in December to permit nudity for creative reasons, which sparked the beginnings of this trend. But as a result, there was an increase in furry and sexual material in the art category, which forced Twitch to change its mind. In spite of this, some streamers persisted in taking advantage of the vulnerability by concealing their bras with censor bars, giving the impression that they were topless.</p>
<p>Amouranth was one of the most well-known streamers to do this; her censor-barred broadcasts drew thousands of viewers. Instead of altering them on the screen, she even employed real censor bars that she held in front of her breasts.</p>
<p><strong>A breach of rules or a new meta on Twitch?</strong><br />
However, not everyone found this strategy to be effective. A few viewers demanded that Twitch take action after criticizing the broadcasters for going against the spirit of the guidelines. In reaction, lara6683 made the decision to follow the craze—but in a unique way. She played the piano while pixelating her whole body to create the appearance that she was naked.</p>
<p>On December 20, she started streaming, and her creative method soon brought her popularity. Additionally, she shared a video of her live on X/Twitter along with the statement, “New meta has dropped.”</p>
<p>However according to Twitch’s community standards, broadcasters are “prohibited from broadcasting or uploading content that contains depictions of real or fictional nudity,” which includes pixelation, thus her pixelation method could not be approved. A number of streams have already been banned for using censor bars, and lara6683 could follow suit.</p>
<p>However, due to her exposure to explicit information, Twitch broadcaster Morg “Morgpie” is facing her sixth suspension from the site. This most recent ban—her second in December—comes after contentious streams. She has 250K followers, however, because of the suspension, her profile now reroutes people.</p>
